As the fall 2018 semester quickly approached through the last weeks of summer, the sisters of Sigma Kappa at EMU were eagerly awaiting the start of the academic year which also meant the beginning of structured sorority recruitment. Leading up to recruitment weekend, sisters were hard at work with hosting informational workshops for members about the ins and outs of structured recruitment, steaming table linens for recruitment rounds, and preparing props for bid day. When the weekend came, it was filled with many smiles, bonding with the Greek community, and excited women ready to find their home away from home. This year, Sigma Kappa was proud to welcome home seven wonderful women into the mystic bond through structured recruitment. As the fall 2018 semester continues on, Sigma Kappa will be hosting exciting events such as the Respect Week event "Donut Haze" happening on Sunday September 23rd, and the "Let's Taco Bout Alz" event happening on October 23rd.
